A list of 200 words that can be used instead of, “Black” or ,“Dark” to convey a negative meaning.

I made this list because as much as I enjoy reading and writing I understand the power of words. Words have psychological weight which is why our favorite poems, stories, books and what-have-you means so much to us because it reaches down into our inner most emotional crevasses and, through the psychological processes of association, creates unspoken meanings. Keeping with this theme is saddens me that in 2015 it is still common in western society and culture to use the words, “Black” and “Dark” to convey negatives and, “White” and “light” to convey positives. It is not the 18th or 19th or even the 20th centuries anymore and as time and understanding has grown, so should our mindful use of vocabulary so here is a list of 200 words that are not, “Dark” or “Black” that can be used convey a negative meaning. enjoy. btw this list only took about three minuets to make so if you are looking for a word that is not on here its easy as opening up a thesaurus to do the same.
